The biggest gaming event of the year, gamescom, is back for its fourth year and it’s bigger than ever. With over 70 game developers from over 20 publishers, the event is the perfect place to launch new and exciting games, see some of the best and brightest games from the industry, as well as network with the biggest game makers and publishers.

The biggest video game trade show in the world is slowly picking up steam. The first ever Gamescom was held in Cologne, Germany back in August of 1983, and now the show has over 70 developer and publisher booths and is looking to make changes to its format and scope.

This year’s Gamescom will be its biggest yet, with over 70 developers and publishers attending, including Bethesda, Ubisoft, EA, Square Enix, and Marvel. But the show will be more than just developer booths and hands-on gaming sessions. 2019 will be the first Gamescom that offers a special theme: the “sustainable development theme”. The topic is likely to be discussed in many panel discussions and discussions.

While this year’s Gamescom will be unique in that it will be compelled to become all-digital due to COVID-19, the event itself will not be tiny. According to the event’s most recent press release, over 70 developers and publishers will be present, promising a lot for gamers and industry professionals to look forward to.

The entire thing gets off on Wednesday, August 25th, at 8:00 p.m. EDT, with an inaugural program presented by Geoff Keighley that will include over 30 games. At Gamescom’s English language studio, the rest of the weekend will feature further trailer reveals, announcement analyses, an indie games showcase, and gameplay deep-dives.

Gamescom will include a variety of digital panels that concentrate on the games business as a vehicle for education, environmental reform, and societal betterment, in addition to the regular game reveal hullabaloo. Using technology and its connection to healing, how the games industry can help restore nature, technology’s effect on science and the arts, and how driving simulators have real-world applications, among other issues, will be discussed throughout the panel.
