The new SMITE update adds Morgan Le Fay, a new character originating from the Netflix TV series Stranger Things, to the game. She’s a powerful mage who has appeared in two previous sets of skins for SMITE, but this is the first time she’s been made available to all players. Le Fay’s skin set is not only new, but it also introduces a crossover with the Stranger Things cast, including the demogorgon. ‘Stranger Things’ has become a household name, with the addition of the new character to SMITE, players can now play as the new villain and the gameplay element of summoning the demogorgon is now a reality.

It’s no secret that SMITE has been growing in popularity in the past year, and that’s thanks in large part to the fantastic free-to-play game’s Battle Pass. It’s this season’s July Battle Pass, and the gods that will be featured this month include the likes of Kali, Chronos, and Thanatos, and they’re joined by another popular character from Netflix’s Stranger Things!

word-image-10860 It’s both an Arthurian legend and a world unto itself SMITE , as the MOBA has made some amazing discoveries recently. First up is the update to The Dark Sorceress, which introduced Arthurian villain Morgan Le Fey last Tuesday. The Fei is a powerful mage who brings a lot of dark magic to the group, including one that summons a dragon to attack enemies. Arturian, am I right? In addition, the latest update has brought back the classic tournament map for regular and ranked tournaments and duels, brought back the Greco-Roman art style to the arena map, and added various character skins, item upgrades, and balance adjustments as usual. You can find all the details in the release notes, and if you’d rather watch than read (and hear Tyr acting like a toddler TV character in a plush T-Rex costume), you can watch a recap video after the break. For the month of July, SMITE has announced that this month’s Combat Pass will be all about Stranger Things, with skins turning Apollo into Hopper, Scylla into Eleven, Sylvanus into Mind Fighter, and Bakasura into Demogorgon. A preview of this latest transmedia Battle Pass will be shown during the mid-season stream next Wednesday, the 23rd. June, but in the meantime you can check out these skins in another video below.
